We tried a new recipe last night— Kale Quinoa Patties. JB found the recipe online. These are the best vegetarian burgers ever. Very close to the texture and taste of hamburgers. We’re very excited to experiment with all kinds of different flavorings (worcestershire sauce, pick-a-peppa, mustards, balsamic vinegar) and varieties of vegetables. Also this recipe can be easily adjusted to be vegan (don’t use the parmesan and do use an egg substitute) and to be gluten-free (use oatmeal instead of bread crumbs).
Though our family cookbook is bursting at the seams, we are always deliciously nurtured when we discover yet another terrific recipe to whet our appetite.
(Hint—when forming patties, it helps if your hands are moist. That way the mixture won’t stick to your fingers and palms.)
