To read is to empower

IMG_6840This is the front of the card that a student gave me at the end of the school year. This card accompanied a notebook/ journal titled the Decomposition Book (100% Post-Consumer-Waste recycled pages, made using Bio-gas, processed Chlorine-free, printed with soy ink, and made in the USA) its cover plastered with steaming cups of hot coffee, a generous gift card to a local bookstore, and a bar of Godiva 72% Cacao dark chocolate.

Well, at least one of my students has learned quite a bit this year— especially about what rocks my boat.
