Distractions

These are some of the ways my students were trying to distract me from reviewing World War I history in class today…..

And these are a couple of ways my garden was distracting me from preparing for tomorrow’s classes…

And, how my friends distracted me from grading papers tonight…

Don’t get me wrong. I’m still fired up about the work that I do with my 8th grade kids. But both they and I are very aware that there are only eight more weeks until the end of the school year.

I just discovered your blog and would love to get your advice. I am from Australia and work in the corporate industry – howevery I do not feel it is right for me. I have always been drawn to teaching (business or history) and feel it would be a very challenging and rewarding career. Unfortunetly all my old teachers are advising against it. What are your teaching experiences like.

Ps – love your students attemps to distract you!
