De Duva

I saw this spoof of Ingmar Bergman in 1969(?) as the short (remember those?) before the film Easy Rider. A student of mine came into short films last Friday wanting to see this because his father had told him all about it. What I didn’t remember is that a very young Madeleine Kahn (her first filmic role) is in it, as well as George Coe (Viktor) who also co-directed it. If you are unfamiliar with Bergman films, some of the humor may go over your head, but it is still quite funny, especially if you compare the fractured, pidgin Swedish being spoken (most of it more Yiddish than Swedish) and the subtitles.
