Muto by Blu

Blu is an italian artist who is very involved in the street art scene around the world. He has created many animated pieces involving stop action. The one below, Muto, was created on the streets of Buenos Aires in 2007-2008. He has purposely hidden his real identity so little is known about who he is and his background. He has taken the methods of William Kentridge and employed them writ large (using house paint and rollers) on walls and buildings, inside and out, sidewalks, pits, and pipes. Some have called his graffiti-based art as “animated vandalism.”
