The night we came back from Three Oaks, after coming back into the yard to enjoy the live music after dropping off our things in the house (see yesterday’s post), we noticed a huge branch laying across the fire pit and chairs. Neighbors shared that lightning had struck our big tree in the back earlier in the afternoon during the storm and the branch fell with a huge “crack.” It had just missed the roof of our house and our neighbor’s back porch. The huge branch’s crash to the ground did not even disturb any of the garden.
JB spent the morning cutting the wood which we’ll use for fall fires. The piece nearest the strike he took into his studio.

Both you and JB find magic and wonder and spirituality in your every day life. That might be why we love you so much.
I’m not so sure everyone would see that. Thanks for being able to.

Karma? Didn’t touch the garden? Beautiful use of the downed tree branch.
